Access from Major Cities

By Train (Fastest Way): Take the JR Limited Express "Azusa" from Shinjuku Station directly to Kami-Suwa Station.

By Highway Bus: Take the Chuo Highway Bus from the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku). It takes about 3 to 3.5 hours.
By Car: Take the Chuo Expressway and exit at the Suwa IC. It is about a 2.5-hour drive from central Tokyo.

From Nagoya (Approx. 2 hours)

By Train: Take the JR Limited Express "Shinano" to Shiojiri Station, then transfer to the JR Chuo Main Line for a short ride to Kami-Suwa Station.
By Car: Take the Chuo Expressway via the Okaya Junction and exit at the Suwa IC. It takes about 2 hours.
