What to See, Where to Go, and How to Get There

Kinosaki Onsen is one of Japan’s most charming hot spring towns. Located in northern Hyogo Prefecture near the Sea of Japan, it is famous for its traditional atmosphere, scenic canals, and the unique experience of walking around town in a yukata while visiting different hot springs.

Unlike many other onsen destinations, Kinosaki is designed as a “town of baths.” Visitors stay at a ryokan and enjoy visiting several public bathhouses throughout the town.
