- By Bus (JR Bus Kanto): Take the "Shiobara Onsen" bound bus from Nasu-Shiobara Station (West Exit). It takes about 60 minutes to reach the central Shiobara Onsen bus terminal.

- By Highway Bus: The "Nasuno-go" highway bus runs directly from Shinjuku (Busta Shinjuku) or Tokyo Station to Shiobara Onsen (approx. 3.5 hours).
- By Car: Take the Tohoku Expressway and exit at the Nishinasuno-Shiobara IC. From the exit, it is about a 20-minute drive via Route 400 (the "Momiji Line").
From Utsunomiya (Approx. 1 hour 15 mins)
- By Train: Take the JR Utsunomiya Line to Nishi-Nasuno Station, then transfer to the JR Bus bound for Shiobara Onsen (approx. 45 minutes).
Pro-Tip for Travelers: Shiobara Onsen is famous for its many suspension bridges (tsuribashi) and waterfalls. The central bus terminal is called "Shiobara Onsen BT." Many ryokans are scattered along the valley, so check which bus stop is closest to your hotel. Most accommodations offer free shuttle pickups from the central bus terminal if you call them upon arrival!
