Access from Major Cities
Niseko is located in the Shiribeshi subprefecture of Hokkaido. While there is a train station, direct resort buses from the airport are by far the most convenient and popular method for international travelers.
From New Chitose Airport (Approx. 2.5 to 3 hours)
- By Resort Liner (Direct Bus - Most Recommended): During the winter season (Dec–Mar), several companies like Hokkaido Resort Liner or White Liner run direct buses from the airport to various Niseko resort hubs (Hirafu, Village, Annupuri).
- By Train (JR): Take the JR Rapid Airport to Otaru Station, then transfer to the local line for Kutchan Station or Niseko Station.
- Note: Trains are less frequent on the local line, so check the schedule carefully. Kutchan Station is the main hub for the Hirafu area.
- By Car: Drive via Route 276 or the expressway via Otaru. It takes about 2 hours in summer, but significantly longer in winter due to snow.

- By Bus: Direct buses depart from the Sapporo Station Bus Terminal and major hotels in central Sapporo.
